My relation who is 81 has an interest only mortgage. She has only one year to repay the full mortgage back. Is there a possiblity of remortgage. Sue

Typically, we assist a number of clients over the age of 80 at the outset of the mortgage. The mortgage will have an end date so will need to be paid back at some point rather than equity release, however, there is not necessarily a maximum age for us being able to assist, as long as the mortgage is both suitable and affordable.
