My wife and I are looking to purchase a plot in Scotland that has planning permission. We would like to secure the land whist trying to sell our current home. Would it be possible to get a mortgage on the land only?

We do work a lender that will consider a land purchase but only in England and Wales.
However this sounds as though it is a property you are planning to build at some stage and unfortunately, we do not advise on self build mortgages.
