Hi,
I have a buy to let mortgage and we are looking to re-mortgage to a residential mortgage to enable us to live in the property. The problem is I have just completed an IVA. My current provider does not do residential mortgages. Will I be able to obtain a high street mortgage?
Ian
Ask the Specialist response:
Hi Ian
Thanks for your enquiry.
Historically, Capital Fortune have assisted clients that have just completed an IVA. If the IVA started over 6 years ago we can assist with realistically a 10% deposit, however, if it has been entered within the last six years and has just been completed the minimum deposit will be 35% of the property's value.
In the former situation, through Capital Fortune's relationships we may be able to secure a High street mortgage, however, if the IVA has been entered within the last six years the loan will not be with a High Street Lender, albeit with an institution that are just as regulated and authorised as all the big banks.
If you just wish to obtain an indication on whether we are able to assist you, given your specific circumstances, I'd recommend speaking to one of our Advisers on 02077100400 or send us an enquiry online and one of our Advisers will call you back.
