Hello, I am a primary school teacher that is currently teaching internationally in order to save money for a deposit for a property in London. I have a sizeable deposit now of 60k and I am interested in buying a property with the view of living in it when I return to London in the next 2-3 years. I am 33 years old with no debts outstanding. I am currently on an interest only mortgage due to redundancy 6 years ago. When I wanted to go back onto repayment we were told we didn't qualify, so been stuck on interest only.
I have Credit card debt of £60k and a secured loan of 35k. There are 11 defaults, no CCJs never arrears on mortgage or utilities. We live in Brittany and want to buy a UK property with a mortgage while we have our French home up for sale, waiting for a buyer.
